Critical Accuracy - It is critical that radiology displays present accurate and consistent images. Image Systems provides calibration solutions to ensure DICOM Part 3.14 compliance when using our display solutions. Image Systems' CFS is the Calibration Feedback System you need to ensure your displays are calibrated properly.

Calibration Hardware

Integrated Front Sensor
An integrated front sensor is standard on Image Systems 2MP, 3MP, and 5MP grayscale LCD monitors. The moveable front sensor retracts into the bezel after use and keeps the entire LCD screen viewable. The integrated front sensor enables on-demand and scheduled hands-free front of screen luminance and DICOM calibration and conformance, tests.

Image Systems' Chroma5 luminance meter (Puck)
A handheld puck is used with the CFS Local software to characterize the integrated front sensor and calibrate the internal back light sensor. Validation with the handheld photometer is recommended annually per AAPM TG-18. The puck has a USB interface.

SBC Stable Back light Control
The SBC function consists of a separate back light sensor internal to the monitor that measures and provides a closed-loop control of the luminance output of the LCD back light. This feature is standard on the Image Systems 2MP, 3MP, and 5MP grayscale LCD displays.

Add-on Front Sensor (AFS)
For LCD monitors that do not have an integrated front sensor, this add-on front sensor attaches to the monitor and provides for hands free front of screen luminance and DICOM calibration and conformance. Connects via USB interface.

Calibration WebSuite

CFS ™ (Calibration Feedback System) WebManager

CFS WebManager enables centralized remote monitoring of enterprise wide deployed monitors via a web browser.  Detailed information about a monitor’s status can be viewed, administrators are notified with e-mail alerts of non-conformance, ability to set up an enterprise wide QC schedule, and displays can be re-calibrated from a remote administrator’s location.  Verifiable record of scheduled QC tests and compliance can be auto generated in Fleet Reports and Log files.

CFS ™ (Calibration Feedback System) Local with Hands-Free Support
The CFS software used with the integrated luminance sensors to provide hands-free front-of-screen DICOM calibration and compliance testing. A built-in scheduler can initiate the QC testing to occur on off-hours. A summary report is generated providing a verifiable record of compliance testing. Eliminates or reduces the need for technicians to take manual measurements.

CFS ™ (Calibration Feedback System) with Puck Support
CFS software can be used with a precise, handheld luminance meter (puck) to provide hands-free front-of-screen DICOM calibration and compliance tests per the procedures described in the ACR/NEMA DICOM standard. A custom Lookup Table can be generated and uploaded to the monitor or the graphics card to ensure DICOM compliance.

Test Pattern and DICOM Viewer
Included in the Image Systems CFS software are test patterns for visual confirmation of DICOM calibration and conformance including SMPTE, Briggs, Luminance, and easy access to TG18-QCtest patterns.  In addition, a simple DICOM viewer is included to enable viewing of medical images and modality generated test images.

VeriLUM® Calibration Software with Puck Support
Image Systems' monitors, graphics cards, and drivers are supported by IMAGE Smiths VeriLUM. The optional VeriLUM calibration software is successfully being used by many customers to calibrate and measure DICOM conformance. It requires the use of a handheld VeriLUM Chroma5 puck.
