Current Freight and Delivery Times due to the COVID-19 Pandemic
Canvys prides itself on working with our customers to manage long-lead-time parts cost and availability, ensuring we provide your custom display solutions when and where you need them. We understand how difficult and costly it is for our customers to change components or experience delivery delays.
This is more important now than ever due to many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The demand for monitors and laptops increased sharply as people moved to home offices and school-aged children required eLearning workstations. This increased demand caused shortages of driver ICs and display glass (glass substrate for LCD panel modules). We are also experiencing component price increases and longer delivery times specifically for TFT modules, components, metal parts, and cables. Delivery times can reach over 24 weeks for a single component. Freight costs and times are also increasing.
Rest assured Canvys is staying ahead of the curve by closely monitoring market conditions, costs, supply shortages, and delivery lead times. To the extent possible, we are holding inventory for our valued customers that need to adjust to their changes in demand, and we are securing access to parts for future requirements. It is critical to inform your Canvys team member as early as possible of any changes related to your Canvys order or forecast.
